Loyd Hooper grew up in Roger Mills County, Reydon, OK where he graduated from Reydon High School.  He then went on to West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas, where he earned his undergraduate and Master of Arts Degree. Mr. Hooper lived in Amarillo, Texas for 26 years working for Tom Owens Associate Art Gallery.  He had a 48 year career as a Railway Engineer as well as a life long interest in art.  Mr. Hooper currently lives in Wichita Falls, Texas where his studio is located and he now paints full time.
